Bringing Catch a Ride to Your Community

Transportation barriers look different in every community. The solution should too.

In this 60-minute session, we’ll show you what it takes to kick-start Catch a Ride Network in a community where the network is not yet established.

Rather than starting with a vehicle or a single transportation provider, we’ll walk through the building blocks of a coordinated transportation network: identifying the people who need transportation, understanding what already exists locally, finding the gaps, engaging community partners and transportation providers, determining how riders will access services, building the right level of support, and identifying the funding needed to launch and sustain the work.

We’ll also talk candidly about what makes a new-community launch successful, what local leadership is needed, what Catch a Ride provides, and what the community needs to bring to the table.

The goal is not to convince every community to launch Catch a Ride. It is to help you understand what would actually be required and determine whether your community is ready.

You’ll leave with a practical roadmap for moving from “We have a transportation problem” to “Here is what it would take to build a solution.”
