About the event
On October 1–2, 2026, the Catch a Ride Network, in partnership with Ford Philanthropy, will bring together community leaders, transportation professionals, healthcare organizations, employers, educators, funders, policymakers and advocates for the Southeast Michigan Transportation Insecurity Summit at Ford’s New World Headquarters in Dearborn, Michigan.
Transportation insecurity doesn't exist in isolation. It can determine whether someone gets to work, receives critical healthcare, continues their education, maintains independence or accesses the opportunities available in their community. In Michigan, 37% of residents are considered transportation insecure, rising to 42% in Metro Detroit*. This summit is about taking a serious look at the challenges and opportunities in front of us right now from the leaders on the front lines and identifying as a community what we can do today to make a difference.
During the summit, participants will move beyond identifying transportation barriers and focus on what Southeast Michigan can build together.
