Tanisha's Story - A New Opportunity in Motion

When Tanisha Askew first connected with the Catch a Ride Network, transportation in Detroit, Michigan was a daily challenge. Complicated transit schedules, long waits, and the demands of caring for her family often made it difficult to reach appointments and essential destinations.

Through the Catch a Ride Network, Tanisha gained access to reliable transportation that provided more than just a ride—it offered peace of mind, stability, and renewed independence.

She recalled, “I was able to get from point A to point B without any problems. No more standing at bus stops in the rain, walking long distances with children in tow, or coordinating around others’ limited availability.”

Her story is a reminder that when transportation barriers are removed, individuals and families can move forward with greater confidence and hope.
